Summit Works Together to Shape Its Future

Spring 2010 ushered in an urgent call for change in the status quo. The time is now to think big, but be cost-effective. Toward this end, Summit’s school, municipal and community organizations seek to do MORE to coordinate our efforts to generate economies of scale to more efficiently serve our town.

There is no change in mission or governance for any of our groups; we are simply trying to communicate with our stakeholders in more efficient and cost-effective ways. This will enable us to enhance our programs with the public and private support we receive.

Given the loss of state aid to our schools, the strain on our municipal funds and the economic uncertainty felt by people with private funds, our goal is to motivate an atmosphere of positivism, strong volunteer work ethic and increase of private support to sustain and improve Summit’s quality of life. Collectively, we stand for quality programs – in and out of school and community organizations – for our youth, families and residents of all walks of life. We stand for strong character, values and service. We seek to foster better alternatives to the abuse of alcohol and other substances so that all our residents can live and operate in an atmosphere of healthy choices towards sobriety in society.

We ask you to visit our site and our Links so that you can find ways to be part of what makes Summit such a wonderful place to live, work, worship, shop and and/or volunteer for us, our families, our friends and our neighbors!

07901….we are One...for unity in our community!

Thank you!
