Shaping Summit Together Online — Terms of Use

Together, we shape Summit. In order for your voice to be heard and for us to be able to factor your input into the areas of mutual concern or opportunity, we feel the need to suggest some “Rules of Civility” for any comments and or forum entries.  Here they are:

  • You must identify your name and address, similar to the way public comments are taken in open communication forums.
  • Since we serve all those who live, work, worship, volunteer or otherwise spend time in Summit, we would like to ask you to identify your connection to Summit, e.g. “I work in Summit; “I live in Summit”, “I shop in Summit”, etc.
  • Our blog section is reviewed first by our administrator and then posted to the public. We cannot allow curse words, defamation of character or comments construed to be in a bullying or violent context.
  • Affirmations are welcome – We want to know what works for you. Criticism is welcome – we simply request that it be polite, thoughtful or analytical in nature. We are not providing a forum for personal grievances. If you need help to cope with something uncomfortable, please check our RESOURCES section. If you cannot find something there, please CONTACT US and we will follow up with you.
  • We request an e-mail address so that we may follow up with you, but that does not replace the name and address information we need you to supply.
  • All comments and entries will be subject to moderation before being published.

If you believe you can operate under these “rules of civility”, then proceed to tell us what’s on your mind!
