September 7th Council Meeting: Residents Asked to be Present

The September 7th Council Meeting  will be the most important Council Meeting this year. There have been many discussions on the issue of safety in our community since the tragic events of July 17th. The Police and Fire Departments will be at our Council Meeting to brief the community on their efforts to keep us safe. We welcome concerns, comments and suggestions from our residents.

You will also be presented with options for going forward.  While we are a representative form of democracy, local government can and should the closest to a pure democracy.  You need to come and be heard.  You need to tell Council how you want your tax dollars spent. This is your community.

This is not about who is wrong and who is right. It is about what is right for our community. This is not about the interests of elected officials or special interests groups.  It is about the best interests of your community and there is nothing more important than the safety of your family.  You have an obligation to speak up on September 7th. I hope to see you all there.

Regards,

Councilman Michael Vernotico
